# Wenup
> Wenup helps UK couples put prenuptial, postnuptial, and cohabitation agreements in place through a collaborative online process with structured financial disclosure, technology-assisted drafting, case management and independent legal advice.

Wenup is an online service providing legal forms, information and access to independent lawyers. Wenup is not a law firm and is not responsible for the advice lawyers provide. Prenups and postnups are not automatically binding on the Family Court in England and Wales, but the court can give substantial or decisive weight to an agreement where both parties entered into it freely, with a full appreciation of its implications, unless it would be unfair in the circumstances to hold them to it. Appropriate financial disclosure, independent legal advice and sufficient time to consider the agreement are important safeguards. Our standard nuptial package includes one hour of independent legal advice for each party and is designed for straightforward agreements.

- [Prenups](https://wenup.co.uk/free-consultation-for-prenuptial-agreement): For couples planning to marry or enter a civil partnership. We recommend completing and signing at least 28 days before the wedding; there is currently no statutory 28-day deadline in England and Wales. Standard fixed fee £690 per person (£1,380 total) for a straightforward agreement, including one hour of independent legal advice for each of you. If additional legal work is required, your lawyer will discuss this before additional fees are incurred.
- [Postnups](https://wenup.co.uk/free-consultation-for-postnuptial-agreement): For couples already married or in a civil partnership. There is no statutory deadline for signing. Same standard pricing as prenups for straightforward agreements, with the same collaborative process and independent legal advice for both parties.
- [Cohabitation agreements](https://wenup.co.uk/free-consultation-for-cohabitation-agreement): For unmarried couples living together. Cohabitation agreements can be legally binding contracts; their effectiveness depends on their terms and the circumstances in which they were entered into. Clear fixed fees for straightforward agreements: £800 for the single-lawyer service, or £999 where each of you receives advice from your own lawyer. Additional legal work, if required, is discussed before fees are incurred.

When you and your partner each buy a Will with Wenup, you receive three years of complimentary lawyer reviews of your nuptial agreement.

## How it works
1. Discussion with your partner and alignment on how to deal with finances if the relationship ends.
2. Free consultation with the Wenup team or instructional videos.
3. Join the platform, create a draft via questionnaire, with a Case Manager assigned.
4. Each partner connects to a separate lawyer (1 hour included for standard nuptial packages) for independent advice on the agreement, its implications and their individual legal position, and a Certificate of Legal Advice.
5. Sign the document.
