How we work
Step 1
Discussion with your partner
Before you engage in our process, it's important that you are both aligned on wanting an agreement and how you wish to split your assets. Our fixed fee model is designed for couples who've already discussed in detail how they wish to split their assets.
Our platform will provide you with a set of tools to create a draft, and the lawyers you are connected to via our platform will advise you on the fairness and enforceability of what you wish to do.
Step 2
Set up a consultation or watch our instructional videos
Set up a consultation with one of our friendly team or watch our instructional videos to discuss whether we are the right for you.
Step 3
Join our platform
Join our platform to start creating a draft of your agreement using our simple questionnaire. You will be assigned a Case Manager from our team to help you with this part of the process.
Step 4
Speak to your Lawyer
Through our platform, you will each connect to separate lawyers who will advise you on your agreement. Our fixed fee model includes 1 hour of legal advice for each of you to ensure the draft produced on our platform is fair and appropriate for you both, and that you have had the legal advice required before entering into a nuptial agreement.
Step 5
Sign your document
Your lawyers will sign the document and provide each of you with a Certificate of Legal Advice. You will both now be able to sign the document and complete the process.

What it costs
We operate a fixed-fee model for straightforward agreements. If your situation falls outside of our fixed-fee model, we’ll flag this to you.
Our nuptial agreement service costs £690 each (£1,380 total) and includes independent legal advice for both of you. It’s very important that each of you has your own lawyer to ensure the agreement is fair and legally robust. Many other services only cover one person, our service is for couples and includes a lawyer for each of you.

Other Options
Only one side's lawyer quoted
Most online providers only quote for one person's advice - leaving the other to find and pay for their own lawyer separately. This will often cost more and can lead to an imbalance in the process.
Generalists
For most law firms and online legal services, nuptial agreements are a small, niche part of a much wider offering. However, nuptial agreements are unlike any other legal document. They require sensitivity, fairness and compliance with the Law Commission's guidance to have the optimal chance of being enforceable.
Manual drafting
Traditional law firms charge thousands just to draft the first version — even before advice begins.
Unbalanced process
One partner typically controls the timing, the lawyer, and the process — which can create inequality and tension.
Agreements lose weight
Without updates, an agreement can lose legal weight over time — but most providers don't offer a simple way to refresh it.
Proven Success
"We had a great experience using Wenup and are so happy we found this platform! James provided exceptional customer service from the initial consultation all the way through the signing of our document. We felt very supported during the process."
Laura
"The process was quick, smooth, and tailored around both our busy work lives, with an extremely high quality of service and James having always been available when needed- all of this for a fraction of the price you would normally expect. We cannot recommend Wenup highly enough, and would absolutely use it again (although hopefully won't have to 😉🤞🏼)"
Adam
"We cannot praise the whole team at Wenup enough! From the guidance during the initial steps to the fantastic lawyers who advised us individually, the whole process has been smooth, fast and transparent. And above all, the price was less than one third of all the quotes we had from some London law firms. Thank you!"

FAQs
In order for a prenup or a postnup to be upheld legally in the UK, both members of the couple will need to have received independent legal advice.
On Wenup, our standard package is £690 per person, or £1,380 total, and this includes independent legal advice for both of you.
When comparing Wenup to other options, it is important to be aware that most other providers quote for drafting an agreement and representing one of you, but the total cost of drafting an agreement and receiving separate advice will be far higher once both members of the couple have received the legal advice they need for an agreement to be upheld in the UK.
In order for agreements to be legally enforceable, a court would need to be sure any agreement was freely entered into by each party with a full appreciation of its implications. As part of the Wenup process, we ensure both members of a couple receive separate legal advice from lawyers as part of our process before agreements are signed.
There is a significant risk that downloadable templates fail to meet the basic criteria to be legally enforceable in the UK. In particular, one of the minimum thresholds for testing the validity of an agreement is for both partners to have received separate legal advice, and for the agreement to be fairly drafted and willingly entered into by both parties.
Yes, couples that are already married or civilly partnered can enter into a postnuptial agreement.
You and your partner will choose your separate lawyers from different law firms via our platform. Each lawyer will be advising one of you separately and independently on the proposed terms of your agreement. Our process is designed to be naturally collaborative, transparent and fair to both sides. Your lawyers may discuss the fairness of your proposed agreement directly with you and each other. This openness is encouraged as part of our process with the aim of producing a final agreement which is likely to be upheld/ followed by a judge in the Family Court in England & Wales in the event that your marriage/ relationship breaks down and you wish to rely on the agreement relating to the division of your assets at the end of the marriage/ relationship. You will be guided upon how to alter the agreement you have reached between you so that a Family Court judge is more likely to uphold the terms at the end of your relationship/ marriage. This may result in you both needing to reconsider the terms of your agreement, with the assistance of your respective lawyers, who will amend the terms of your proposed agreement for you on instructions from you both. In the interest of a fully transparent process, your lawyers will be obligated to include any important information you share with them that is relevant to your agreement.
