Prenuptial Agreement Lawyers in Leeds
The prenup process often originates with the partner who feels he or she has the most to lose financially should the marriage or civil partnership fall apart. In most cases, they are arrived at through long-distance negotiations between lawyers representing the different parties. This can lead to a breakdown in communication and an agreement no one is particularly content with. At Wenup we have a better way. We provide a platform where both partners can work together to create a prenup that will be vetted by a team of experienced family lawyers serving customers in Leeds to ensure its enforceability.
Why Wenup?
If a relationship is to overcome the inevitable obstacles and issues that arise whenever two people share a life together, there has to be a high degree of trust. It is helpful for both partners to have full visibility of each other’s respective financial situations and clarity over how aligned they are on financial matters, which can often be a taboo but highly contentious subject for married couples.
The Wenup process provides couples with a way to ensure the best interests of both parties are addressed prior to or after getting married or entering a civil partnership. It’s an innovative way of fostering transparency and trust while at the same time reducing the odds that lingering financial doubt and uncertainty can tear a relationship apart.

The Wenup Process
The process of creating a fair and enforceable prenup that both partners can get behind starts by registering with Wenup. Once registered you will have access to our materials that cover the basic principles behind the process of asset division. We encourage you to avail yourself of this information before moving on to the next step in the process.
Once you have both learned more about the division of assets and have agreed on the shape you would like your agreement to take, it’s time to fill out our online questionnaire. This process forms the draft of your prenup and it’s important you are both present while filling it out.
After completing the questionnaire, we provide each of you with access to highly experienced family lawyers serving customers in Leeds. They will work closely with each of you separately to ensure you each understand the provisions of the agreement and they will make certain the agreement will pass muster in court, should it ever end up there.
During the process of reviewing your agreement, the lawyers may encounter issues that would undermine its enforceability. Should that happen, they will alert you to the issue and work with you to resolve it in a way that provides you both with an agreement that has the best chance of being legally enforceable should you or your partner ever need to rely upon it.

EricaFantastic service for a very competitive price
The process was quick, smooth, and tailored around both our busy work lives, with an extremely high quality of service and James having always been available when needed- all of this for a fraction of the price you would normally expect. We cannot recommend Wenup highly enough, and would absolutely use it again (although hopefully won't have to 😉🤞🏼)
AndreaHighly recommend
We cannot praise the whole team at Wenup enough! From the guidance during the initial steps to the fantastic lawyers who advised us individually, the whole process has been smooth, fast and transparent. And above all, the price was less than one third of all the quotes we had from some London law firms. Thank you!
LucaAbout the Wenup Process
The Wenup process is thoughtfully designed to encourage open communication and collaboration between couples. We understand that discussing prenuptial agreements can be sensitive, which is why our platform provides a comfortable space for couples to express their preferences and concerns. By facilitating transparent conversations about the division of assets and future scenarios, Wenup not only ensures the creation of a legally valid prenuptial agreement but also contributes to the building of a strong and resilient relationship. Our goal is to make the process not only legally sound but also a positive and affirming experience that strengthens the foundation of your partnership.
Reliability
We make sure every Wenup complies with the 3 main factors used in court to determine the validity of such an agreement:
- That the agreement was entered into freely by both parties.
- That each party fully understood the implications of the agreement when they signed it.
- That each partner was given separate, independent legal advice.
At Wenup, we value the importance of transparency and reliability when developing prenuptial agreements. Beyond fulfilling legal requirements, our commitment to your peace of mind involves fostering open communication throughout the process. Our platform not only ensures compliance with legal standards but also highlights collaborative understanding, customising the agreement to meet your individual needs. Every stage of the Wenup journey aims to encourage confidence and trust, making the process a positive step toward fortifying your financial future together.
